Safety Vilage

We took Brooks to the open house of the new Cobb County Safety Village this weekend. There was lots of neat stuff to see (fire trucks, SWAT tanks, Police horses, etc.).

Learning how to Stop, Drop, and Roll
Trying on a fireman's suit.

Dress up.

Brooks loves to dress up in other people's things. His favorite is big people shoes. I usually wear flip flops or tennis shoes, so when I busted out the heels for my class reunion Brooks thought they were especially neat. He doesn't discriminate against little stuff though. Here he is trying to wear Mr. Potato Head's glasses :-)

Brooks' Second Braves Game

We are trying to make a tradition of taking Brooks to a Braves game at least once a year. Of course we are including other long standing Chandler traditions with that like...
Pre-game meal at the Varsity. Neither Brooks nor Caleb would leave their Varsity hats on for very long though.

Does it get any better that this?!

More beach pictures (there were too many cute ones to choose just five)

Cousin Caleb's First Birthday Party

Caleb turned 1 on June 5th and had a super-fun "pool" party to celebrate.

Helping Caleb open his presents
Brooks throughly enjoyed his Cookie Monster cupcake

as you can see by his face :-)

His brightly colored stinky the next day scared me to death until I remembered the cupcake.
